Join text in Excel: TEXTJOIN, CONCAT and &

To put first and last names, address parts or codes into one cell, TEXTJOIN joins them with a separator and can skip empty cells. In older Excel the & operator works.

Syntax

TEXTJOIN(delimiter, ignore_empty, text1, [text2], …)

Arguments

delimiter: The separator: " " (space), ", " and so on.
ignore_empty: TRUE to skip empty cells.
text1: The cells or range to join.

Example

Join first and last name with a space in one cell.
