Who is responsible
The asanexcel.com website and AsanExcel services are run by Tural Dashdamirov (sole proprietor, Baku, Azerbaijan). In this policy, "we" means AsanExcel and its operator.
This policy covers the website, its AI assistant and AI tools, and conversations with AsanExcel's WhatsApp number (+994 55 814 77 97). For privacy questions: tural@asanexcel.com.
What data we collect
- Account — name, email, password and personal settings (e.g. quiz sounds). The password itself is never stored, only a secure hash of it. When you choose "Sign in with Google", we receive only your name, email and Google account ID from Google; we never see your Google password and keep no access to your Google account.
- Learning activity — course access, lesson progress, quiz attempts and results, homework, XP, certificates and the reviews you write.
- Teacher and training-centre workspaces — student names and phone numbers added to the workspace, groups, schedules, attendance, uploaded lesson materials, video and voice recordings.
- Orders and payments — order code, item, amount, email and payment status. We do not store card details: card payments take place on Stripe's payment page. Bank transfer payments are confirmed by hand against the bank record.
- Contact form and enquiries — name, email, phone (optional), topic and message. The name, phone and message you write in a course page's "Enquire" form are passed to that course's teacher or centre.
- AI assistant and AI tools — the questions you type and the formulas you enter in the formula tool.
- WhatsApp — when you write to AsanExcel's WhatsApp number: your phone number, WhatsApp profile name and messages.
- Technical data — IP address, browser details and error logs. The IP address is used for request and sign-in limits and is kept in those records only as a hash.
Why we use your data
- to create your account and keep sign-in secure (including limiting repeated failed sign-in attempts);
- to provide courses, quizzes, workspaces and the items you buy;
- to fulfil orders, confirm payments and send receipts and service emails;
- to answer your questions and enquiries, including what you write on WhatsApp;
- to monitor the site, fix errors and prevent abuse.
We do not sell your data or pass it to advertising networks.
AI assistant and AI replies on WhatsApp
Text you write to the site's AI assistant, the AI Excel formula tool and the teachers' AI quiz builder is sent to the AI provider chosen by the site owner (for example OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini or Moonshot AI) to prepare an answer.
We do not store the text of conversations in our database. The answer to a conversation's first question stays in a short-lived cache to answer the same question quickly (72 hours by default), and request statistics (time, token count) are kept without any text.
When you ask by microphone, your browser itself recognises the speech (depending on the browser, this may use the browser maker's service); no audio recording is sent to us, only the recognised text.
Messages you write to AsanExcel's WhatsApp Business number reach us through the WhatsApp Business platform of Meta Platforms. To reply quickly, your messages may be answered automatically by an AI assistant: for this, the message text is sent to an AI provider. Tural Dashdamirov may also read your messages and reply in person. We use these conversations only to answer your question and provide our services; we do not send you marketing messages without your consent.
AI answers can be wrong. Decisions about payments, orders and accounts are made by a person. Do not write passwords, card numbers or other sensitive data to the AI.
How long we keep data
- Account and learning data — while the account is active or until you ask us to delete it.
- Order and payment records — as long as needed for accounting and legal obligations.
- Contact enquiries — as long as needed to answer and follow up; those marked as spam are deleted.
- Sign-in records — expired sessions are deleted after 30 days, records of failed sign-in attempts after 2 days.
- AI — cached answers are deleted when they expire; AI usage statistics (without text) after 400 days.
- WhatsApp conversations — as long as needed to answer your question and provide our services; you can ask us to delete them at any time.
Student data in teacher workspaces
A teacher or training centre is responsible for the student data it adds to its workspace (names, phone numbers, groups, results) and must have the consent of the student, or of a parent for minors. We process this data only to provide that workspace's service.
For requests about such data, contact the teacher or centre first; we will help where needed.
Your rights
Under the Law of the Republic of Azerbaijan "On Personal Data" and other applicable laws, you can ask us to:
- tell you what data we hold about you and give you a copy;
- correct wrong or outdated data;
- delete your data;
- let you withdraw your consent or object to processing;
- handle your complaint — first with us, and then with the competent public authority.
You can change some details yourself in your account; for anything else, write to tural@asanexcel.com.
Deleting your data
If you want your account, enquiries or WhatsApp conversations deleted:
- write to tural@asanexcel.com with the subject "Data deletion" (or send the same request on WhatsApp or through the contact form);
- include your account email or the phone number you used on WhatsApp;
- we may ask you to confirm your identity so that we do not delete someone else's data.
We complete the request within 30 days and let you know the result. Records we must keep by law (e.g. payment records) may be kept until that period ends.
Security
The site runs over HTTPS. Passwords and sign-in and verification tokens are stored only as hashes, AI keys are encrypted, and access to admin areas is limited by roles. No system is completely secure; if you notice anything suspicious, write to us right away.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our services change. The last-updated date is shown at the top of the page; we announce important changes on the site.
